I think this is Kaido stating he regrets fleeing, once Rocks got Domi Reversi'd.

A big part of Kaido's suicide, and his understanding of the Scabbards desire to die, stems from this:

Honestly there are two options.

First option nobody expects rookie Kaido to do anything who just acquired his DF, so maybe 1 or two action and Saturnmu will low diff him.

Second option: Oda can finally show Kaido‘s strength in a different. We all know how loda hates his villians and loves his protagonists.

Kaido always fought as a villian in Wano Kuni in his joke dragon form, but now goes what he is kinda a protagonist and Imu is the bad evil here. So maybe his Dragon Form could actually do something impressive other than slicing Kiku‘s arm off

I believe that Xebec is the Joyboy descendant/reincarnation of Joyboy and Roger killed him. This is why the Roger pirates are laughing because they realized the irony of what they did.

Xebec was a good guy and main character-esque. He wanted to take over the world because he wanted to beat Imu. It’s not yet confirmed that he’s a direct descendant or reincarnation but he was essentially doing Joyboy’s job.

The two fruits he was talking about will 100% involve the Nika fruit btw, so we could have really gotten a Nika-Xebec vs Imu but he died prematurely.

There are so many change of tones and events during God Valley I don’t even know what to think anymore lmao

Almost everything we knew is false

- Rocks being not so evil and being here to defend his family and clan
- the greatest treasure being Shakky
- the life debt with Kaido and BM and it seems it’s just Kaido snatching the DF from BM lol
- The core crew members of Rocks not being traitors and standing with Xebec
- Kaido beef with Roger ? Where it is ?
- even the tag teaming between Roger / Garp will likely be different and not that straightforward with Imu involved
- Xebec being Roger most dangerous foe ? They aren’t that much rivals and we never saw them really fighting
- what next ? Why Xebec said to Roger : out of my way

Actually a very interesting parallel that was never mentioned during their fight in Wano.

Survivor guilt.

But at the same time I doubt Kaido wanted to die with 21 just when he acquired his DF. So I doubt he wished to die with Rocks. It may pleased him to die with him, but it wouldn‘t make sense chronically.
