Standing side by side with Rocks to fight Imu, against overwhelming odds, isn't hype......get out of here lmao.

Whitebeard wasn't mentioned as a major player, because he was a part of Rocks. Underlings by default get this treatment, because when you talk about factions, by default you get the representative representing the factions (duh).
In raw strength, WB was up there with Roger. Roger was asking for WB in Shakky's bar, and we saw the Roger/WB clash last chapter (narrator intention being obvious).
It's same as Luffy, Law, Kid as the representatives of the alliance that took down Kaido/BM alliance. No mention of Zoro. One can make the argument that Law is comparable to Zoro, but lol at Kid being up there. Yet, it was Luffy, Law, Kid who were the representatives, because they are the leaders of the factions that faced Kaido.

Why would WB be a big dawg again in this flashback? Does he have a crew? Is he a representative of a faction?
Or is he just some super strong dude and RHM of Rocks? We all knew what Whitebeard's role was going to be in the flashback. He was obviously going to take a backseat when compared to Roger and especially Rocks.

Again, as Loda says, it is a matter of reading comprehension.

The only real loss of aura is simping over Shakky. Nothing else truly mattered IMO, aside from agenda nonsense. Especially from a pure strength PoV, Whitebeard doesn't have any negative feats or portrayal.
The very fact that you are calling WB the Zoro in this situation is a slap in the face of WB.

Man what a fall from grace, I would never be able to predict this is where we would be at in 2025, celebrating WB at/near his prime years being a good loyal underling and sharing panels with the real big dawg Xebec. Genuinely Zoro/Sanji fan behaviour.

"Yay WB got to stand beside top 1 Xebec!"
:kobeha:

How low was your opinion of WB to think this is hype. Like I get it, given the cards he was dealt this is great, things could have been worse? But I'm saying from before Xebec existed or God Valley existed to now, WB's rep took a net loss no matter how you look at it. This is not in anyway a net gain before these events were revealed.

Shanks (when he had 2 arms ofc) was the spiritual inheritor of Xebec's & Roger's fighting style.
Oda didn't draw him using Roger's technique for nothing.

He is (or was, when he had 2 arms) essentially the character through which Oda can represent Roger's powerlevel.

Fights a certain someone in legendary battles (Newgates' words, not mine) and guess who is known worldwide as the strongest swordsman?

Retcon piece most likely. I doubt oda thought of imu coming to GV or rocks being a grey character. Imo rocks was initially meant to be pure evil character like BB who was roger's rival.
Yep, though I never thought Rocks was going to be a pure evil character.
0% chance that Whitebeard would be his crewmate, and Kaido would have so much respect for Rocks, if that was the case.

I thought Rocks was initially meant to be a grey character, but the flashback really shows him as a straight up good guy.

No, Shanks isn't really on the level of Roger or Rocks. You're just pushing that so you can upscale Mihawk based on characters he never fought or was connected too.

Shes probably got sealed
hence why she needs vessels to project power
Yes it's possible
He's actually kind of scared of Joy Boy and is only in a few buildings
And even Rocks says I'm coming back here it's like Oda is saying we're not going to see Imu's body outside of MG so you have to go there to kill Imu and the final battle will be in MG
Or maybe outside of there the power of the fruit will be lost

I'm so glad you liked it @The Real Mr Morj its such a relief you see the funny side of it and go along with it too, really makes it even funnier ofc! It doesnt help I slander Morj like crazy and had this made too, but it really is funny to accuse you of being Morj too ofc!:

Morj is your evil twin! Your Shamrock!

:doffytroll::catpole::sadgrin::madmonk::blobevil::catsure::afrokappa:
If Morj is Shamrock then we need a third person who believed the raid would fail so they can be Garling. That way we can complete the F̶i̶g̶a̶r̶l̶a̶n̶d̶ Raidfailand family.:endthis:

What is the meaning behind the niki-kun panel?
:milaugh::milaugh: You are cracking me up with that pic, lmao.

Man, I had hope for Garling. @nik87 wrote entire essays putting Garling above Imu and now he was sidequest diffed with back up by a Webec carrying his family around.
I still have "hope" for Garling.
Certainly, this flashback didnt work in his favor in terms of hype but it is still not too late for him to turn things around and earn the title of the Champion of God Valley. My essay can still end up true, it all depends on whether Garling has that ambition or not.
