No offense, but the idea that authors prioritize plot over power level stuff is not really a groundbreaking revelation. It's kind of obvious.

It doesn't really matter what level on Oda's list it is as a priority, it's still what's relevant when we are discussing the levels of characters. There is no source we can use beyond fiction. For the time being, there's no reason to think (Young) Garling isn't weak, since this is the only real fight he's been in the entire story. No other character on GV has been treated this way, do you think someone like WB would get neg diffed like that? Ofc not.

Never said it's groundbreaking. And yes it's not just kind of obvious, it's really obvious to the point that Oda explicitly said it many times, and every casual One Piece fan knows implicitly.

The reason I made that thread because I was being tagged in powerscaling topics and felt bad for not participating. As this was a powerscaling forum, I thought I'd state the obvious for everyone who doesn't read OP for agendas.

oda had enough respect for Jiaga to offscreen him and leave his defeat upto our interpretation. And Rocks looked a lot more bloody and battered too.

With garlic oda straight up showed him pulling up with 50 davy demons and multiple other hk to jump Rocks. Shows Rocks doing a single attack, and then shows Garlic on the ground fucked.
