This is still you complaining about a different issue though. Koby getting injured by fodder doesn't seem to be what your problem is with him, it's that Oda hasn't given him feats against anyone strong.
But that same argument has been made for Lucci, Crocodile, Shiryu, Hancock etc. yet it's still obvious how strong those characters are.

I'm not complaining though. I'm just being objective and consistent in how I grade characters. Every argument i'm using against Koby i'm using against other characters as well. Hence, you don't see me hyping up Prince Grus, despite believing he'll be admiral tier down the line.

Feats aren't prioritized for me, if there are character statements or narrative portrayal showing otherwise. Ie, Dragon with 0 feats. However, in Koby's case and essentially rest of the sword, they have no feats and no comparative statements. And in the few arcs they've been here they were restricted to fodder control.

Lucci, Crocodile, Shiryuu, Boa all have comparative statements and tons of feats.

Koby can also inflict serious damage to almost every Rocks Crew members... Bastar Gill, Streusen, Stussy, Ganzui, Don Marlon, Wang Zhi, Barbel, Kyou, Gloriosa, etc. fucking Jackson Banner can handle Kyou without a problem.

A captain, 3 or 4 very strong subordinates, and the rest are just randoms who can be beaten by any high-mid tier. So the situation isn’t any different from Blackbeard’s crew

The slander is well deserved. What I am suggesting is, the Gorosei are at least top tiers in their prime even if they're not quite as good as the high top tiers. And no top-tier is loosing to another top-tier, even if it's Rocks, as easily as Garling did, which is why I am suggesting he wasn't close to his prime.

Nah, Xebec’s just really him lol. Garling just doesn’t match up to him, he needs more of daddy Imu’s blood.

For the whole prime thing. I'm 100% sure, neither Garp/Roger/Newgate/Xebec/Garling peaked out at God Valley.

Roger and Garp have yet to dawn their iconic looks, and proceed to have tons of death battles still. No reason to believe Xebec wouldn't have gotten stronger if he had kept on fighting after God Valley, unless he's a decade older than them.

Crazy how GV is the first time were all HKs are reunited.. and their best feat so far is cheapshotting a East Blue Luffy level Dragon.
I don't understand what Oda's goal is with this group, especially considering how late they've been introduced in the series
