Also, how Kaido sneaked on Big Mom and stole her fruit was pure comedy lol. I think this flashback kind of makes up for the abysmal one which we got in Wano about Kaido.

Kaido went from a devil fruit loving enjoying character having fun to a depressed haki loving drunk who wants to end everything.

I guess the death of Rocks and the Rocks Pirates falling apart really changed him.

I wonder if the Marine who went missing will end up being Garp’s inspirational figure. With it confirmed (as if it shouldn’t have been blatantly obvious) that Garp didn’t know about the hunting games, I think Oda will probably now focus on his loyalty to his brother in arms in the Marines as to why he stayed with them. Either that or the World Gov somehow manage to frame all this on Rocks. Sengoku’s version of God’s Valley may well just be a flat out lie.
