General & Others The Yamato Cover Story

And despite that and the endless Wano wanking over a pretty sideboob, Wano still had the biggest drop in sales in the series' history.

Also, was it just me, or did Wano feel painfully over-promoted? It felt like Toei and JUMP went out of their way to artificially inflate its popularity to the point that it got more promotion than any previous arc. You had Shinto shrines selling Wano-themed goods before the arc even began, thousands of overpriced merch items released during its run when compared to past arcs, and countless cross-promotions with other brands just to hype it up, even more so in its first year than both runs of Dressrosa and Marineford. Even Funimation, Crunchyroll, and VIZ went overboard with the marketing — far more than they ever did for any other arc being localized. This had to have been a personal request from Oda himself, who clearly believed Wano was meant to be his magnum opus.
The baboons here eat it up too tho, especially the toei sloppa
seems like it worked

An editor even came out and said he cried reading next week's chapter and it was just some scrubbards stabbing Kaidou.

The propoganda didn't help increase sales, but it worked on making the cult even louder.

Oda’s reaction to Leadon and dirtyLarry beefing with each other over Yamato’s pronouns

Maybe that editor was secretly trying to throw some shade at Oda? He never did say why he was crying
I want also to denote that when wano was current and i was just reader most zoro gen was clapping for wano btw. as peak, while even long time pre-ts fans were saying it was ass until a certain event in the end
never forget

And soon as that ended the anime tourist and kids flashed by cubes and strobic lights came in as DBS ended, almost spooky

Don’t slander DBS like that, the Tournament of Power is a masterpiece compared to Lano, and Jiren mogs Crydo as an antagonist

Lolda is still trying to convince many people that Wano wasn't a failure.

It's like trying to convince people DCEU wasn't a failure.
