Episode Discussion OPM Season 3

#5
Madhouse created one of the biggest gem in the first season then abandoned it. No other studio has done it any justice ever since.
Iirc the guy in charge of the first season (the animation director ig or whatever?) gathered the cream of the crop of freelance animators in the industry and just went full throttle.
Once Season 2 came along the in-house team of animators of whatver studio had to live up to those standards. And ofc they delivered the most underwhelming product until Season 3 came out and took the throne

Is there any hope of some other studio picking up OPM in the future and redoing everything from Season 2 and onwards? :josad:
lol no

JC fucked up s2 that bad and the production committee still went back to them for s3. Meaning they were the only studio willing to make opm s3. The high profile/high quality studios are too busy and booked for years with new gen stuff etc. They won't touch opm.

OPM, despite all the manga's faults, is clearly one of the best currently releasing manga series. How tf does the anime industry fuck this up so bad. Saitama is one of the most well-known anime characters in history

No it's not.

Ever since monster association midway, opm manga has been in purgatory. I'm not talking about story quality. i'm talking about the sheer amounts of redraws they have done since then. Doing like 3 revisions of fights and even whole arcs. That does not project confidence in their own work from one and murata. So why would any studio take the chance? Especially since opm is a heavily action based manga with some of the best art out there. Meaning the studio would have to work insanely hard if they wanna do any kind of justice to the manga.

i think what most new gen fans need to understand is not everything single new work is going to have the same love and attention as some other big name animes do, hell jjk s2 was an absolute shit show and their aimation was horrid and were only carried by their big fights which budget went to sukuna/maho and yuji/whatever his brothers name is again. the rest of the animation was fucking lacking in every single department.

but honestly there isnt even anything wrong with s3 OPM animation just like jjk they will edit it if its neeed to be fixed.
