Wouldn't be surprised if the 2 fruits Xebec was hunting was the Nika and Yami fruit. Their unique properties can possibly counter Imu.

Xebec could kill the domi reversid Xebec Davy clan members

he cold not kill Garlic, but slow down his regen for a bit

And xebec (rest) cant temporalrly even halt the regen on Imu

Because characters can regenerate the physical damage but retain the pain. That’s a basic logia ability as we’ve seen from Sakazuki.
