By the way Imu called Xebec Davy Jones while baby Teach was already alive and we know that Teach ends up following the same will, so it makes it possible that the will of Davy Jones went to Teach after Xebec's death
Which makes me question if same thing didn't happen between Ace and Luffy, like Ace being the original Joyboy but passed his will to Luffy after his death. Could make the events of MF even more understandable

Imo is it actually major power creep though? They are just injuring an immortal body. Remember
- We have been repeatedly told that defeating the WG requires The One Piece and presumably the ancient weapons.
- We have Roger laughing at what I assume is his own futility at being able to do jack shit against the WG in Oden's FB.
- We have the Gorosei who seem to be, on some degree, out performing Marines due to their gifted powers from one person
Imo the "broken" element comes from the fact that Imu can take over someone like Rocks pretty easily. The immortality bit clearly will have a workaround eventually, its just a matter of when and how.

So are we going to talk about how Imu mistook Xebec for Davy Jones. They literally met a few years prior in Pangea Castle and Imu was just asking Saturn if Xebec was still alive last chapter.
