Imu has the benefits of Regeneration. I don't think anyone was expecting Imu to get beaten by this group seeing as he is still alive. But he's not beating Roger in a fight either.

Roger contributed to a 6 person combo attack infused with Acoc and did not harm Imu.

The idea your bum of a Avatar pick could inflict so much as a single scratch of lasting damage on Imu is nothing but cope. Saying Imu cant beat Roger in a fight after this chapter is like saying Kaido cant be Killer in a fight either because he tanked his attacks.

Roger is to Imu what Killer was to Kaido. Arguably worse since at least Kaido cant just turn a guy on Killers level or stronger than him into his slave whenever he wants
