The thing is that Law’s attacks are centered on lethality, yet Oda still gave him one of the best destruction feats in the series. The Gura, on the other hand, is all about showcasing large-scale destruction to imply higher attack power. If he can’t even outdo Law’s DC then it’s wraps.
I love how Oda made sure to remind us that Kizaru was as restricted as it can get, entering the scene under the premise that the power plant, Punk Record and York must not become collateral and even then ending up simulating his defeat and feeding our protagonist so he can regain strength.
All out Kizaru would be Lulusia Kingdom all over again.

1) Imu obviously didnt know that BB could eat multiple devil fruits
2) I guess Imu didnt know BB had yami yami no mi at that time (because to Teach become a warlord he just need to defeat Ace, nothing more, he didnt has any obligation to show his powers)

It's simply unfathomable how Law has the best hax, and yet the best DC at the same time, it is unfair, straight robbery. Oda needs to do jail time for what he did to Kidd.

This part makes me believe that its not that cut and dry as the Yami countering Imus powers entirely tbh. When Gunko was asked by Sommers if there was anything she was afraid of, she said Nika.
Thats all.
Nika is the real counter.
Yami imo can maybe stop the powers momentarily or like screw with them in some way, but not nullify. Otherwise Imu would be afraid of the Yami but hes not. He does want BB dead though if you remember Imus intro, alongside Shirahoshi (Poseidon) and Luffy.
