I’m raising the stakes for Blackbeard with FV — I believe Imu is a “trick” type of character; once you figure him out, you can beat him. I don’t think Kaido and Big Mom wanted to conquer the world just to ignore the World Government like that. Kaido wanted the most powerful army in the world, ancient weapons, and strong subordinates to claim the One Piece and rule the world. Big Mom too — and she’s feared by the Marines for being very intelligent. So, any display of power from Imu towards Kaido and Big Mom clearly didn’t impress them enough to make them believe he’s some absolute god who can’t be defeated — that’s the truth of it.

Because Kaido is sensible, not arrogant, and can acknowledge that Joyboy might one day defeat him — but Imu can’t. And that’s taking into account hypothetical scenarios about Joyboy.

I’m pretty sure the narrator is lying tbh since all we see is one battleship and 2 buildings destroyed, but that doesn’t really mean much regardless because Jack could destroy half of Fuji’s fleet in a 2v1 against Fuji and Sengoku

Even if you argue that it´s exaggerated,the implication is still that it was a significant battle that required effort and time, Shiki wasn´t trashed or anything
