Now why would Davy Clan members want the getback from Imu and usurp him, maybe @Reborn 's theory that Davy was King before makes sense.
At first I thought he was a pirate but hmm, wouldnt make sense for a ''promise'' to be kept idk.
If he was a pirate then he was a RHM to JB.
If he was King of the world then probably it was King of the AK that the 20 kings rose against.
So it was AK+ JB vs Imu and the Kings.
And like the AK fell to ruin because they lost the war and the Davy Clan was persecuted by the former enslaved 20 Kingdoms. Im just wondering here if it makes sense narratively, maybe. Because Vegapunk did say that he wasnt sure who was good or bad and it would make sense if it was morally grey as in slaves rising up against their masters and overthrowing them only to they themselves becoming as bad or worse then their masters.
If I understood the Harley correctly the first world ruler was overthrown then the second world rulers who overthrew the first one were overthrown as well back to the first world rulers hands in some way.

- Xebec fights against the transformation and talks with Imu about Davy Jones
"Davy Jones and Joy Boy… their promise will be fulfilled someday. I know that you’re afraid you fake king… but the day will come."
- Imu gets angry and slams Xebec against a rock and says: " Mu will kill every single member of the Davy Clan and the will of D. will perish… Binks… Joy Boy… Davy Jones… they knew nothing about the first world."
- Xebec slowly turns into a demon and tells BM, Kaido, WB, Roger and Garp to kill him
- Demon- Xebec uses a named attack against BM and Kaido, both get seriously damaged
- WB, Roger and Garp attack him at once but Imu blocks their attack and Xebec goes after his wife and Teach
- WB, BM and Kaido hold off Imu and Garp and Roger go after Xebec
- Shiki beats Ganzui and is shocked when he sees Demon - Xebec
"It seems the era of Rocks is over… it’s time to leave this island."
- Dragon is searching for Shanks and meets Eris and Teach
- Xebec is about to attack them but Dragon goes between them
- Dragon : "That’s it… I’m gonna die here but at least it will not be in vain."
- Suddenly Harald appears and stops Xebec with a named attack
- a black ship approaches GV, we can hear how some Marine Soldiers are panicking because they say that giant whirlpools appear around the island
