Have you wondered why they evolved into that while having so many examples of good play?
No and I don't have much patience for them either way. In fact I couldn't give you any examples of good play from either of them so if you're making a poi t here, you'll need to be more direct I'm afraid.
 
Okay but exceptions prove the rule Michelle, you don't need to lock something as 100% town, you can work with the idea that it's unlikely to be scum and then see where it goes from there.
In mafia exceptions prove there's no rule. Each game is different and has to be treated as something new without letting statistics to impose direction or reads.

Most all of the best players here use past games (meta on players & mechanics) as the foundation for how they play the game. And adjust on the fly as needed off of that base logic

However I saw them playing well. They can but they don't want to.
Then they should be held to that standard. And if they insist of falling short of it, then they can enjoy dead chat. Like what other option is there? Waiting for them to do something? That's how they win as scum.
