I think it really is hostility based: if you can control your anger/hatred, Imu can't do anything to you, and that's why the Buccaneers/Nika terrify Imu: Kuma and Luffy are too positive to be Domi Reversi'd, Imu literally can't break their Wills. Look at the situations Kuma and Luffy have been in, SOUL CRUSHING SHIT, and they still kept their hope and dreams burning bright.
Oda gave us this Dorry line for a reason, IMO, it was foreshadowing Dorry/Brogy's warrior rage Domi Reveri'ng them, whereas Juffy will resist it due to his jovial temperament.
Dorry describing Joy Boy's Haki:
"Was that stronger than Red-Hairs? There was no hostility to it!"
What did this non-hostile Haki do to Imu? Totally wrecked their shit, when Rocks couldn't.
Imu looks like they just got Piper-Perri'd by the fucking Gorosei here, like, this is THE ONLY TIME we've seen Imu shit bricks in the series.
Imu literally trolls their enemies into succumbing to negativity, because the positivity of people like Luffy and Kuma is what Imu fears: people who have no fear, and will fight for the Dawn/Justice, no matter what the world tells them to do.
Xebec didn't have access to this information, so he had no idea how to counter it.
I believe Teach got Xebec's Logbook, on top of learning about history from Eris, and Loki got Harald's Logbook, and that Harald killed Rocks on God Valley.
Loki learning from Harald/Rocks how Domi Reversi works, so Loki can teach Luffy how to stop Domi Reversi, is really cool writing, IMO.

I don't think Luffy, Jinbe, Usopp, Robin, Brook, or Zoro will get Domi'd, because they are able to resist negativity to a huge degree.
Luffy is Joy Boy - Jinbe is typically very stoic, and was the one to give Luffy hope post Ace's death - Usopp is so negative I don't Domi can affect him, like Perona's Ghosts - Robin has overcome her negativity entirely - Brook is unshakable in this regard, and if Domi needs blood, he doesn't have any - and I think Zoro's scarred eye will open, to be like Mihawk/Imu's and resist Domi (and Zoro is also traditionally fairly emotionally stoic, even when furious, as seen when he ruined Apoo after seeing Kiku's dismembered arm fall from the hole in Onigashima's roof/dome).
I don't think Loki will, either, because he's shown the same ability as Luffy to laugh away that anger. Loki will learn from Rocks/Harald getting Domi'd, and overcome his rage:
Hajrudin has been a grimacing gloomer this entire arc outside of meeting Luffy again, I think Hajrudin will get Domi'd and fight Loki.
I really just want to see Sogeking, tho. I hope he can save Usopp from this mess, since they are obviously completely different people.

At least DM uses actual arguments, this mf literally just spams Druski gifs to prove his arguments that Kaido can 1v300 Admirals.
Naturally his posts get lots of upvotes because 90% of that sub exists in a state of perpetual butthurt as far as the admirals are concerned.
