DK was initially a robot created by Metal Knight who's actually not that bad of a dude. However, Dr. Kuseno, who seemingly turns out to be evil af and the mastermind behind the Organization, at one point stole and reprogrammed him. Now DK is assisting the Organization's robotic invasion. And Saitama kicks his ass (DK's last transformation is based on Saitama's combat data that was captured during his fight with mook robots) while pondering about the moral dilemmas that AI pose.

I would’ve thought most of us would realize these characters are at least not in their prime. Lol

I mean, it's fine and not far fetched to say that they have not yet fully reached their peak. But they are still in their mid/end 30s (WB = 36-37, Roger 38-39). GV Roger would be around current Shanks' age, who is Yonko for 6 years. It can't be much left till his prime I would assume. Especially since Oda emphasized how those guys (Roger, Garp, Xebec) spent their youth fighting and conquering, so this is where most of the growth happened.
