Future Events Kaido and BM is this arc , in the next Blackbeard and Shanks.

Oda wants to finish the story faster than we imagined so he has Kaido and BM make an alliance , and will let them down after this arc. Shanks and BB will begin their battle and Shanks will lose but Luffy will see him either before he dies or he will save him and take on Black Beard. maybe Black beard would like to go after Luffy and his alliance while they are still recovering from the battle but Shanks is going to be in his way , and that's how the their battle will begin and they will fight for days till Luffy recovers and will rescue Shanks or avenge him.

Right...both characters happen to have a missing arm, both happen to have scar on the left, both happen to have the rare red hair...just random coincidences by Oda

Kidd has been going after shanks since day 1 in the story. He has now interacted with Shanks/his crew twice, taking 2 L's. We still have never had any direct dialogue between the two characters. And we still don't know why Kidd wants to go after shanks. A 3rd interaction will occur.

But yeah...Shanks won't be the first thing on Kidd's mind when he returns lol. Kidd almost died to Kaido and ran straight back to go after Kaido once he recovered his crew. He will do the same with Shanks. Keep in mind, he was going to do this regardless if whether Luffy or law came.


Something you need to understand. BB is endgame for Luffy not Shanks. Kidd will meet Shanks a third time and win.
