Oda didn't have GV planned out all that well in the Kuma flashback.

-Clash between Roger and Rocks that never happened.
-Kaido wanting to fight Roger, but never really bringing it up this flashback.
-WB is much more antagonistic towards Rocks in the old flashback, and gets mad at him for trying to give him orders.
-Garling being called a dominating/relevant figure in GV.

Yeah, this is totally a retcon.

And btw, even the tower of GV was still there, so it was even before the DR in thoery.

Garling though it's kind of a stretch. OK the phrase, but the "champion" thing was pretty clear the moment we knew about the hunting competition.

I hate the Shakky shit, agreed but expecting Oda was going to do a Bleach length fight for Xebec is just absolutely setting yourself up for disappointment.

Remember this rule. If its anyone outside of Zoro and Sanji, it doesnt last more than 1 chapter. If its Zoro and Sanji, its a 2-3 chapter fight at most. If its Luffy's it lasts longer. Thats it. It will never change.

God Valley I don't think is that bad if you kept your expectations super low, but if you had super high expectations and thought we would see full chapter fights then yeah God Valley is going to be a huge disappointment.

I never expected to see full chapter fights at all during God Valley, Oda usually never gives full chapter fights to non Straw Hats especially if it doesn't involve Luffy.

Remember back during the Wano arc, where Oda off screened most of the Inu vs Jack fight.

I think imu most likely uses ancient weapon next chapter and erases GV from existence next chapter. We shall see.

In theory, we "know" GV was still there at end fo the battle.

Garling was mentioned to be the champion of God Valley, I know think that after God Valley, Garling probably lied to the other CD that not only did he fought back against the Rocks and Roger Pirates but that he alone defeated and killed Xebec.

The fights didn't have to be like, long. They just had to exist? I didn't appreciate the Imu involvement at all, really. I don't even really think Garp or Whitebeard should have been on GV, actually. Just give us pirate fights and not the Imcel/Davy shit.
