We actually dont know if hes a buccaneer fyi. The dumbass Tenryuubito just ask that question because Kuma was revealed to be one and on the island shortly before that in his own flashback. They just question if Davy clan members are also Buccaneers but its never brought up again afterwards

Im leaning towards them not being one considering Saturn has a complete hatred for Kuma solely in this regard

Who cares about arbitrary power levels? Admiral fans aren't just powerscalers, they care about the character as well. They'd much rather them be well written and have interesting fighting styles than become the same boring clash/one shot with zaps everywhere like swordsmen who are likely never gonna get another well drawn fight.

Why would he praise Garp if Garp doesn't possess stronger Haki than Roger, or at best, it's equal? Like, Roger already serves as a benchmark.

And also, as far as I know, Garp didn't conquer any seas, Roger did, which was one of Kaido's lines.

As a admiral fan sure I care about the character and having them flushed out, but I also care about there power. Sure I like that they all have unique df powers but they also need the willpower/haki to boot. A combo of of and zap zaps would be nice lmao. Nobody i don't think would say garp is not admiral level the only reason he isn't one is he doesn't want to serve the celestials. Sure the admirals will do it but at the same time there haki has to be the greatest in the marines bar garp so for me i would love for them all to be conquerors.

I know Rocks is a monster but he dealt with Garling like he was a scrub

The matchup is kinda doomed in terms of hype that could be siphoned from it

Well... Oda does things weird at times. I mean One Piece really really really needed to up the pace (at one point it was ever so slow, I suppose they gave Oda better editors) but sometimes it's just too fast with too many plotlines leading no where (Yeah, I'm talking about Wano).

Rocks was likely (with or without DR) #1 above even Roger, Garp, Harald and WB so it's not really a bad look for Garling. But we all expected so much more I suppose. Ray might be the perfect opponent for that, simply means their level was ≈3B rather than 5B.

Ray and gabban are randoms in this flashback i doubt oda will lose panel with them
