Oden flashback WB just had much better haki feats. His clash with Roger was so powerful even his ship was getting blown away.

Agreed, it's abundantly clear that Prime Roger and WB had haki on a completely different level to what they had on GV.

Prime Rogerbeard's clash was the highest level clash we've seen in the manga thus far. The ACoC that they showed is clearly on another level to the regular no-touching CoC used by guys like Luffy — the normal black lightning streaks became straight thick black lines. The visual indicator is different — they were on a ridiculous level atp, and this was a casual clash.

Meanwhile, GV Rogerbeard's clash under higher stakes could genuinely have been replicated by current Zoro and Yamato lmao. Compared to their primes, their ACoC was baby-level.

We have seen top tier swordsmanship in this FB and honestly Wano Zoro looks better than all guys shown so far.

This is just classic Loda execution in flashbacks. Add the current senile version of Loda on top, and we get what we got in this flashback. Clash and offscreen dogshit.

Anyway, this chapter definitively killed the cope of Roger not being a swordsman, not cutting etc. LMFAO

Also, high attack power necessarily won't be shiny.
Consider even Zoro. Ignoring Zoro growing heads and limbs, the Asura attack itself doesn't look visually appealing at all. He just slashes normally (visually speaking), but it's his strongest technique regardless. Compare that to dragon twister or shishisonson, they look like top tier shit.
Roger can use this technique and probably body some top tiers. And still have it look underwhelming lol.

The reality is none of these guys reached PK level during the GV era. Roger and Whitebeard reached that level later on.

Majin Xebec is much stronger than base Xebec and he was the one exception.
