I feel the same way, the more characters are held back as the story goes by them, the less I care. Bonclay will have gotten more screen time and emotion out of the audience than Mihawk or Dragon

First he is always in vicinity of CG, so let play that scenario through:
If crackergoku appears at CG, there needs to be a scenario where there would be even a 1vs1, very unlikely not only because of logistics but also how oda draws such battles, see gv currently.
Than oda also would need to let Bumgoku negdiffed. Which is not impossible but given that he would even not let even shiki or WB neg another named character we will never see in GV ever? Eh

Characters like Kaido and Big mom do things to try destroy the populations of islands, they just don't personally set out to actually destroy them, for whatever reason. Even Xebec, Roger and Harald went around terroizing the world, but none of them were mentioned to destroy an actual island at any point. Owari Da
