Garp and Roger's haki don't just disappear from one panel to the next. We can see the haki emanating from the focal point of the clash a panel before they get overpowered. It reverberated around the island.

The haki is literally emanating from their blades clashing, xebec swings his blade to over power them. That doesn't erase Roger's haki lightning lmao. It's not some haki forcefield from xebec. You see the haki coming from all directions because it's lightning from all 3 characters.

Xebec didn't use a CoC burst. He swung his sword and overpowered them. You can literally see his sword position change from its initial position to the follow thru of the swipe.

I applaud you for seeing through Oda's pirate propaganda. It took me a lot longer to start seeing all of the above was just hyperbole bs. I just thought Garp lacked that portrayal and there was a little separation there. But was completely wrong. Heck you can even give Garp the edge over Roger now, and you wouldn't even necessarily be wrong.

All of that did not matter when we saw roger and grap talk how they almost kill each other for years.
Plus you had WB mention garp name and when another top tier does that you person was strong .

People don't get it how lethal and strong their AP is. Xebec had a massive CoC barrier(they even saying how Xebec CoC cancel their attacks), someone who CoC has a beyond island range size CoC, who can split the sky on his own while sending flying two top tiers into a mountain.

If Oden attack(who don't even come close to Garp or Roger final moves in this chapter), can deeply hurt him like this, imagine what Roger and Garp finisher does with him.
