Roger’s only equal being Whitebeard the wsm not Garp. With Whitebeard being equal to Roger being more hype for him than it is for Roger

Also while it doesn’t necessarily mean much Roger and Whitebeard being above Xebec, Shanks, and Oden could imply that they truly were the strongest of the bunch. Them representing a higher ceiling

Even for Luffy himself being the strongest is a big part of his journey

They're literally stated to have multiple battles in Roger's own era aka post GV aka "Prime Roger" whatever it was.

Tbh it would be interesting what Zoro's role would be at Imu's defeat.

They will be at peak power or perhaps Zoro wouldn't have the black blades yet.

But if Oda lets Zoro fight Imu with Luffy, he's gonna look stronger again just like Roof Top. Especially now that there's not another level of application of haki, except the Black Blade. I guess Luffy will have Gear 6 or Gear Reverse.

Strength wise, black blade wielders are seen as the true kings. I firmly believe it will be that weapon to actually hurt Imu and the regen merchants.

I think Roger wasn't in his prime yet since he didn't even had his iconic mustache which may be even more legendary than Roger, that mustache is like Rogers Nika form. I just wonder one thing, didn't Roger went to the Grand line after he got old so why was there a young Roger in God walley, so this place isn't in the Grand line but all legendary pirates were there also there is Hachinosu island as well. I am not sure but this flashback somehow confused me with so many irregularities.
