i was still religious half my life dude. i have tried to be humble and ask for salvation. i even visited the supposedly holy site of fatima in portugal.

I don't know what you went through but I went through some very brutal trauma so I relate, trigger warning pretty brutal body mutilation


I got beaten so bad around 9 years old I think, that the skin of my knee was completely removed in the beating, and I saw the pool of blood under the skin of my knee and i saw my bone poke out of it a little bit, if I did not hold my leg upright my knee's blood would have entirely spilled out literally, and I have a scar from it, but I have a scar that's three or four times bigger on the side of the same leg and I have no idea where the bigger one comes from

the universe being eternal is antithetical to the cosmological argument theists use to argue that the universe requires a creator in the first place. though this is more philosophical and not necessarily important to theism itself, i grant you that.

Plenty of scientists are still religious regardless of this as well

I think the approach of the relation of god and universe = "temporal-causal-creation" relation is a wrong path

It's alrighty, I'm very happy where my life went now, actually me getting kicked out for believing what I did lead to me having a home that was way safer

And I mean if you know you are saved, look at 1 John 5:13 to know, when it comes to living in sin, you could but bad stuff is going to happen and you will regret it

well those are not tied to the personal type of creator god in abrahamic monotheistic frameworks.

i do like the idea of panentheism and have had some transcendental experiences in that direction tbh (under the influence of drugs, but still)

yes, but you can be a soft panentheist and a catholic, but thats not the point: I can reject the temporal-creational proofs for god and still be alligned with christian theism.

It’s not even a hypothetical even for a MAGA voter anymore. He is and always was about the billionaires and the rich. Doesn’t matter if you agree with his hateful rhetoric and they are finding out the the hard way.
