Dorry and Brogy met Roger yet they only compared Joyboys haki to that of Shanks. Perhaps Roger just passed through and never had to showcase his haki whereas Shanks apparently did at some point impressing the giants more. Or Roger was still young when passing Little Garden, just out of East Blue.
I could see Roger be at 101 or beyond because we are yet to see his true prime. If Kaidos words about Roger bringing the world (Imu?) to its knees actually happened at some point, the GV version might "only" be at 95 while the one that clashed with WB (that also gets an upscale by default) should be true prime of both.

Shanks haki is stronger than rogers, so kaido's haki can be weaker than shanks and it stil doesn't help your argument

I used to think this was the case but Oden's statement doesn't have to be interpreted that way:

That doesn't inherently mean no one in the present day when this was written by oden is literally incapable of striking down Kaido.
Just that specifically these new Pirates will be the one to do it.
And the reason he says "If I am dead by then" is because he intended to do it. And he stated that this was a Kozuki matter when he chose not to accept any outside help.
But he's saying on the condition that he fails, these new pirates will be the ones to do it.
That doesn't mean on the condition that he fails, no one else in his time is capable of it.
When he fought kaido he already knew the prophecy, the void century and everything related, he knew big changes were going to happen in 20 years.
So his perspective was "if i fail it's up to them" Because he knows it's specifically their role to open Wano's borders.
That is why when he says "If I don't manage to strike down Kaido no one of our time will succeed" he's saying that it is fated for the bringers of change that arrive in 20 years to do it, and no one else.
Regardless of strength. It does not have to do with anyone else at that time being too weak to do it. "

A stab and a slam is plenty for Kaido to get a taste of his power and rank him among top 5.
It is not headcanon that Kaido has fought all 5 of his top 5.

Luffy is showing off DF Awakening and Kaido tells him that cannot conquer the seas and tells him about the only example that did conquer the seas, a DF-less Roger. This has never been about sucking off Roger but showing the example of haki conquering the seas.

People say Shanks can take down Big Mom because he simply fired "one" shot at Ki
But Kaido simply has feats of speed superior to Shanks's, and his attack, if even Kid can spot him and a slug like Killer can intercept Shanks's signature attack, then things aren't looking good for him in terms of speed.

Imo Shanks has stronger haki than Kaido, but it isn't strong enough to overpower Kaido's haki + fruit + physical strength
