Role Madness Frieren: Beyond Journey's End

Ratchet

The End and the Beginning
I'm inclined to yeet Polar today I think overall, despite some shadiness I can't get to bittersweet being scum and I'm not very confident York is either, Polar on the other hand has fallen off more and more since Day 1 and him being scum would fit the picture of the game I have quite nicely. I also do have to concede Alexis is probably town. For who is left, I'm reading tea leaves a bit here but I guess somewhere around York/Rej though I do think Rej is likely town. If it's neither of them then I'm kinda stumped, don't really think Indigo is scum nor Rohan.

Oh yeah I remember now, yeah he can go.

Only thing I can't explain is why Indigo's ability failed. I know we have a theory but it makes too many assumptions for my liking. Me being jailed fits the best but... it's just not great. I'm considering maybe it could be one of those flavour mechs Fuji alluded to that's hidden but I can't recall my character (Kraft) having any reason for that.

If there's an odd-night doctor, there's usually an even-night doctor too.
This for the room (particularly you @Rohan though you really should know better by now) is absolute nonsense by the way. The reason you restrict to alternating phases is to weaken the ability to protect the same role(s) over and over again. If you put an even night in there you want to limit the individual role power while allowing the collective role power to be unchanged, which means the focus is more on requiring the roles to work in tandem with each other if they want to protect a specific role and if they're outed, you can pick them off more easily. I think Fuji also allows doctors to self protect which this obviously undermines too. Which is to say, there's no requirement for a counterpart without knowing the full scope of the setup. Especially in a Fuji game!

What interactions would Serie have?

What interactions would Serie have?
So to give some context, Serie is Frieren's teacher's teacher. Frieren herself has a bit of a side quest going on where she wants to learn as much magic as possible, and Serie indulges that as and when she feels like it. I can only really guess, but I would imagine she'd have some positive interaction by targeting Frieren. Flamme (York's claim) maybe less so, Flamme is Frieren's teacher and Serie's apprentice (also dead before the series starts).

The general idea is Frieren is essentially a long-lifed species. She joined a party of heroes to slay the Demon King (classic Fantasy setup), the party succeeded and that was that. To Frieren, it was very much "this journey is just a means to an end". However, this wasn't the case for her party - for them, who live shorter lives, it was their great work whereas it was basically like a blink for Frieren with her life span. It's also strongly suggested that the main hero of the party, Himmel, had feelings for Frieren but left them unsaid as they appeared to be unrequited. Over time, Frieren realises that she missed the joy of the journey and didn't truly appreciate what they'd done, but of course it's too late now. Himmel is dead, the rest of her party are very old and past their adventuring days if not dying themselves. And Frieren wants nothing more than to say what she couldn't back when they were in their prime, so she's looking for a spell to communicate with the dead. Basically she doesn't want to accept her regrets and laments not understanding humans better like she does now.

Serie is much older than Frieren and generally finds her amusing so isn't really antagonistic, though Frieren doesn't like her much. To be perfectly honest I think Serie fits very well as a Jack of All Trades type but I can see the angle for being cop. Would say outside of Frieren the only ones she would really likely have an interaction with (maybe Flamme but I'm not really compelled on that as they're not particularly close) would be Ubell and Fern.

So basically I‘d have to target Poyser lol. I have a locked ability, so likely some interactions.

I think Bitter claimed Stark right? That fits as Bodyguard and I would expect a connection to Fern and Frieren through targeting them (especially Fern). I can't remember all the other flavour claims and I expect some big characters to be left out too for fake claims. There aren't that many characters.
