I do like how absurdly evil Garling is. The guy could've just made Shakky his wife, instead he makes her the prize of the tourney just to win her against other CDs, even killing his wife because of how confident he is.

Garling kills Rocks. Sommers tries to kill Roger, but Gaban saves the PK.​

There's an enormous difference between them.

• Teach never tried fighting Newgate, not even when he was old and sick. Teach schemed to create a war in which Newgate would engulf himself and showed up on purpose only when Newgate was on the brink of death. At that point Teach was still defeated and pathetically started begging for his life, fitting for the cowad he is. In the end his whole crew killed Newgate.
• Garling had his Manhunt interrupted by the pirates and was the only one who actively pursued Xebec and fought him. He lost, sure, but as soon as he got back up he went looking for Xebec again, and when he found him on the brink of death he actually killed Xebec by his own sword.

Teach never had the balls Garling had, and didn't even manage to accomplish what Garling did.

Garling is pure evil. Good to see a villain with no redeeming qualities at all. Just evil for the love of the game.
