Same with Kuma. He is a consistently written character but this changes nothing about him partially being an Uncle Tom. God Valley Kuma is a plot device. Ofc there will be those that call him a mvp for helping all those people escape but it's just lazy writing. Many readers choose certain characters as their favourites because they project their wishes onto them or because they like what the character represents. Doesn't make them well written characters.

Reasonable. Makes him a realistic character. It's certainly not bad writing at the very least, people are comparing it to Oden but Oden was just written very badly. You can not like him and still admit he's doing what he thinks is the safest for his people.
