I actually don’t hate this death scene if this really is the end. No grand speech, no theatrics, then the THE CHAMP finishing him off quietly. It comes off as anti-climactic, maybe even deliberately so.

I just don’t think that this is Oda’s usual style, and it feels like he isn’t fully comfortable pulling off this kind of death. Even the fakeout deaths are much more dramatic than this. The whole existence of the burned scar man is also suspicious, and there aren’t many characters who even fit that role.

Its not about plot but I expected way more fights and longer ones like ray and gaban vs shiki and BM , Kaido vs holy knights etc

The issue is you got swept up by fandom headcanon. Why would AdCoC DF user BM fight hakiless bums like Runleigh? Even Gaban doesnt seem to have AdCoC here
