Only Luffy opponents matter clown. Leenbull and Fattora will have maybe 10 panels the rest of the manga. Fighting the wings is an automatic downscale, just being associated with Zolo and Lanji instead of Luffy in Odas mind was enough for him to downscale Rayleigh after previously hyping to the moon

One Piece simply suffers from the garbage Oda puts into it weekly
Combat system and fights are trash, but as far as story goes, the world building, details linking each other throughout the story, it is genius in its own right. Problem is, Oda introduces 100 characters every arc and doesn't exactly give them time to mature.
In Naruto no stone is left unturned, characters serve a purpose, they are given ample time to fight, they get their own backstories etc
But yeah major difference is still combat system, Oda just does garbage clashes post ts

Real talk, only a heavy load of Admirals can turn this around and make this manga as serious as Oda could possibly make it after all this damage.

Just now a fucking Highschool DXD character is flying over Elbaf shooting magic arrows threatening the island, can't make this up. We Went from Enel to this.
