Chapter 39 summary, Part 1
-Before the exam, on the cruise ship.
Flashback of Leo telling Neo to stab Urek with the crystal, that will take away Urek's power and give it Mago.
-Present time: Neo is going up the stairs with Cheongeum. Cheongeum complains they should have killed Urek there, but Neo says Mago doesn't want Urek's death but his power that is now contained in the jewel they have, and when they bring it to her she'll make their wishes come true.
We see a panel of Mago with golden aura and the angels and Asa reacting to it. Urek opens his eyes.
-The Khun with the horn tries to get past the barrier around the castle but with no use, the other big Khun thinks this has to be a spell.

Tesoriere tells Ousmane the FH is watching, so they should hurry up.
-In the prison.
Lou goes back to Rohan after discovering he is unaffected by Mago's power and then they find out Rohan can escape too if he holds hands with Lou.
Lou decides to go to the trapped teachers to get their help, but while he's running towards them, the fat Otaku Gogojung snitches to Heidi.
Heidi recalls Lou saying he can break the curse while he was taking her test and hesitates, so Lou reaches the teachers.
The teachers escape and tell Heidi they are ready to fight, but Heidi just lets them go, saying she's tired of this situation too.
Heidi tells them however to make Lou escape with max 2 people, otherwise the others will notice.
Maschenny then proposes herself to be one of the 2 people, since if she gets out she can bring the strongest reinforcements they can imagine.
The light bearer teacher says he believes Maschenny's words are credible and tells Lou he should take her.
Lou then picks Evelyn as the 2nd person despite stronger people being there, saying he thinks he couldn't go anywhere without her.
Chapter 39 summary, Part 2
-Outside the castle, we see Shine trying to grab Ousmane and Tesoriere's attention from inside the barrier, but they can't see her.
On her pocket she got a message saying they got to the castle but can't enter, Shine says she can receive messages from outside but can't transmit them from the inside.
The princess is with Shine and says she followed her because she believes she was from the Khun family.
Lou, Maschenny and Evelyn arrive and Shine kneels in front of Maschenny and tells her she's glad she's safe.
Shine tells them the reinforcements are here, but they can't enter. Maschenny flies with Lou and the break the barrier.
Ousmane and Tesoriere see Maschenny and kneel in front of her. Maschenny asks about Eduan and they say he's watching from afar, as the whole Tower would fall into chaos if he showed himself too carelessly.
Maschenny asks why did the FH come in person and Tesoriere says it must mean Eduan cares for the princess that much.
Maschenny says herself showing them this appearance is disappointing. Tesoriere says that he knows that and will make sure this matter stays a secret and doesn't leak out.
Maschenny tells them to get up and that something that shouldn't have entered the Tower is here, and they have to catch it even if it means interrupting the ongoing test.
Chapter 39 summary, Part 3
-Neo and Cheongeum reach Mano and Asa. Neo tells Cheongeum to give him the crystals since he's an ascetic too and only them can use the crystals.
Maschenny's group also arrives, with a blue lighthouse (Asensio?) telling them to stop Neo from placing the crystals.
Asa and Ousmane clash and Ousmane is surprised Asa could stop his attack. Maschenny warns Ousmane Asa is the floor ruler.
Maschenny says it doesn't matter if they are test supervisors or the floor ruler, they'll kill them all, and throws an attack towards Neo.
Meanwhile Urek opens his eyes and has a flashback of when Neo stabbed him. In that moment Neo told him to wait until his wish comes true and keep Mago alive until then. We see Urek actually grabbed the crystal with his hand and didn't get stabbed. Urek is in front of the Mago crystal and says he indulged Neo and stabbed himself lightly, but he doesn't have that much patience.
-Maschenny's attack is about to reach them and Neo places the crystal on the altar. Meanwhile, Eduan takes a spear from his carrier and throws it towards the castle. The spear arrives with lightning where Asa and the others are fighting, creating what appears to be a space ripple, from where Eduan appears.
Eduan, watching Asa and the others "Get out of the way, bugs, before I step on you while I'm walking".
