I'm really starting to think Davy Jones Locker is a real thing in OP, it has to be at this point especially. I do like the hollow earth theory in relation to that too.
It makes me think of POTC but Oda takes tons of plagiarism I mean inspirations from tons of series so why not?
I suspect Xebec is the burned mark man too but I also believed Oden would be alive in the present, before we saw his execution too, so don't trust my input ofc lol.
I refuse to believe Xebec would go out this somewhat underwhelmingly but given what Oda has done to certain other major characters, it's probably just the standard now unfortunately.
I did like Roger being remorseful upon trying to take down Xebec here. Roger's writing is so hit and miss but that part was bittersweetly done, it added some more depth to Roger that I was hoping to see.
I hope we get some novels or something for these old legends to flesh them out even more, I liked what the Zoro, Ace, Perona (Heroines), Law etc novels gave us, even though Oda doesn't write them.

Sure, Juubi's nukes are powerful but this spamming is nowhere threatening enough to wipe out the entire planet. You might give Juubi a few weeks or months to wipe out the surface but that's like saying WB spams his quake powers for several months without break and he might wipe out the surface as well.
Juubi even scales above Naruto top tiers and it is basically the "inbetweener" but not quite god tier level yet because the likes of Toneri and Co would eat this Juubi for breakfast. It's incomplete after all.
Ordinary Naruto top tiers can just clear out a small mountain range AT BEST.

Yeah, I mentioned that Oda could have copied POTC too. It does feel inspired by it. The burned-scar guy sails around on an all-black ship, which is basically Jack’s ship, The Pearl. And the Pearl literally came back from Davy Jones’ locker as well. Maybe Xebec sank the same way and crawled out with some kind of curse or power from whatever counts as the locker in One Piece.
No joke, within those cracks all the way to the top, you could easily fit tow islands. And they would’ve been shattered just from the collateral damage of the force Kaidou was launched with. If BG had actually touched the ground, the destruction would’ve been even greater. @Sentinel

Exactly, well said! Oh man you've hyped me up there man. The whirlpools would be a perfect way to symbolise his revenge for drowning with God's Valley sinking and also his sinking into despair and his downward spiral due to imu and domi reversi or something?

I wouldn't be surprised if tot musica and utas fallen angel from grace characterisation were oda possibly prototyping imu, domi reversi etc at the time. Domi can relate to music at least too.
People believed a conspiracy theory that rock/metal songs/ vinyl records especially would harbour satanic messages when played in reverse too.
I love the domi reversi symbolism as i love the recersi game it's based on, games as abilities/powers and the genius yin vs yang style symbolism of white vs black, light vs dark. But as per Vegapunks speech and what we've seen, the OP world is much more gray than black and white only too ofc.
Maybe we might see the 7 sins symbolised, 1 via imu, 1 via xebec, 1 via Blackbeard etc? I know the warlords have been said by the fandom at least to be based on the 7 sins though. 7 sins, 7 seas (as in pirates irl ofc), heh.
