I can't tell you why other than not doing so is why town loses so many games. He shouldn't insult your intelligence, but I don't think he's done much if really anything wrong this game, maybe 1 or 2 posts at most. And not really wrong per se but he shouldn't talk to you the way he did

The best-case scenario is you catch a wolf for the wrong reasons.

But that, yet again, is just my experience from a different community. Slips not being real became a meme at one point in videomafia.
