I still like the idea of what Luffy saw vs Mihawk was Mihawk doing that to him deliberately with some ACoO shit, as a warning or a flex or something. But it was probably Oda experimenting with FS back then as we had Admirals using CoO to dodge too, at least with Kuzan moving his body to dodge Whitebeard impaling him with his haki coated naginata?
I was thinking if Shanks wanted Luffy dead, how would Oda prevent it happening in a believable way? But now we have Shamrock who gives Luffy an identical Shanks he can fight seriously and take down but then Oda removes Shamrock from Elbaf to make sure he trolls again and that we don't get anything Shanks related in Elbaf except dialogue and flashbacks lmao.
But now we have Garling too, so Oda had to make him fodder despite him being a Gorosei in the present and he's a swordsman too ofc. I hope present day Garling is MUCH stronger and has a demon form or DF or w/e but we'll see. He should by all means though. Or at least be a haki man swordsman. Unless Garling has dabbled in science related enhancements too somehow? Most likely he will just get a buff from Imu since Imu did choose him to replace Saturn and become a Gorosei now too ofc.
I was mentioning Garling as what if he was actually really strong as he should be and he went after Luffy too? I suspect this is the reason Oda didn't make Fujitora truly hostile towards Luffy as he could have been and also why he had Green Bull avoid encountering Luffy and not using his blade despite having one himself lol.

Wtf is with Sanji vs Mihawk there though lol, black leg vs black blade? Battle of the handsome, stylish gentlemen with tons of flair? Sanji attacking Mihawk wouldn't make sense unless this happened later on in the story instead, including Zoro's meeting with and brutal loss to Mihawk and Sanji tries to protect him and enforce a sense of honour that the fight is over and Mihawk should let him go and leave him be. It could subtly tie into how Sanji feels guilt over his mother's death too and he doesn't want to see or let anyone else die in front of him too.

Whitebeard is such a joke now. The guy who puts family over everything and yet left Oden to die, his own "brother" the only person he called that instead of son. Oden who was trying to save his own family and country.
I used to think he was the most amazing character, maybe the best in the entire series but his character keeps getting worse and worse for me aside from a few moments here and there.
