True but the gap is probably still too big. The elite konoha jounin were infinitely stronger than those kids, I know Gaara got stronger by Sasuke retrieval but base Gai handwaved his sand in the chunin exams. Part 2 Kakashi would blitz and stomp Kimimaro, Asuma who landed a blow on Kisame in part 1 couldn't so much as scratch Hidan in their CQC exchange with shadow sewing chasing Hidan. The speed and cqc gap is too big imo, Hidan would just outclass him honestly.
