I think they all realise that Akainu is like a last stand against woke piece. If he falls we can just close this book and have at least peace of mind knowing Oda fumbled and there's no coming back.

Most Admiral slander in general is pretty forced tbh.

Even stuff like Pizzaru and Twerkbull because, I mean, most characters in their place would end up the same way lol.

Especially because a lot of them use slander seriously as unironic arguments and then end up revealing that they don't actually know how world building, haki, mental nerfs etc work.
