I don’t think it’s wise to spread out secretive information that you could’ve only obtained under sketchy conditions. What happens if the Akatsuki finds out that info on them is being spread across the thousands of jonin in each village?

I guess but then that just makes the whole thing a moot plot point. Konoha never did anything against the Akatsuki and while you could say they were safe then that just makes the whole intelligence bit pointless to add since it was never anything of substance.

The operative word is Hiruzen. I think Itachi would’ve had a tough time getting in contact with Hiruzen at that point in time.

Itachi himself didn’t fully know and was keeping cards close to his chest because he knew Tobi was watching him—having set ups contingency to kill Tobi while he’s in the dirt.

though considering Hidan himself was asking their schedule I don’t think Itachi would’ve gotten a chance to peak at it lol

If itachi did pass on intel then it's on Hiruzen for not passing it properly since he didn't really have another source to give his info too. Tsunade and the rest of the village thought of him as a genocidal maniac terrorist.
