Just because I don't play favorites doesn't mean shit here. I've said multiple times that I never let feelings dictate what I say about a character. That's why I have Oden above the old legends even though old Gaban is a way better character.

Zorotards spent nearly 2 decades wanking rayleigh because his name was mentioned alongside whitebeard yapping about how statements reign supreme only to completely disregard it when it got verbatim stated gaban ~ rayleigh lmfao. Oden’s decision to dance for five years wasn’t shameful, it was a real sacrifice. He did it because it was the only way to keep the hostages alive while Orochi promised to release them little by little. Oden put his people above his own pride and believed that once the ships were completed, Kaido would actually leave Wano, avoiding an immediate war. He endured the humiliation alone to buy time, save lives, and look for a chance to resolve everything without a massacre. That’s what makes his choice heroic.

Let’s be honest what ultimately ruined oden was he did all that dumb shit for nothing. The arcs end with not only Odens dream not coming to fruition but also odens daughter reinstating the ideology that caused all this shit in the first place.
Like if odens sacrifice and stupidity meant something then he’d be a bit more forgivable but it literally meant nothing. The Wano citizens never learned a lesson and the country’s still a closed state. It’s literally remained a country that oden wanted to constantly escape from.
