Spoiler One Piece Chapter 1167 Spoilers Discussion

Even after Oda had to go out of his way to explain that sentence that everybody and their mothers with basic reading comprehension should've understood. My dawg Yasheen still pushing this narrative.

😭
I don’t care about odas justification, the fact that the reason Orochi and Kanjuro as villains existed was because the phrase “Kurozumi are born to burn” where all of Wano was punishing an entire clan of mostly innocents for the actions of a few

This is just trash tier writing. Perfect ending for the worst arc in the big 3

Let’s be honest what ultimately ruined oden was he did all that dumb shit for nothing. The arcs end with not only Odens dream not coming to fruition but also odens daughter reinstating the ideology that caused all this shit in the first place.

Like if odens sacrifice and stupidity meant something then he’d be a bit more forgivable but it literally meant nothing. The Wano citizens never learned a lesson and the country’s still a closed state. It’s literally remained a country that oden wanted to constantly escape from.

Didn't oda explain why she did to orochi what he did to Oden? Or was it one of his editors?

He was, he was already an experienced pirate, yet he thought he could trust a random pirate and the biggest traitor of Wano.
A part of the agreement was being fulfilled, which kept Oden’s hope alive that Kaidou would eventually leave the country. As Kaidou himself pointed out, Oden had changed. He used to act recklessly and didn’t care about losses, but he returned from the sea a different man. He tried to solve things without bloodshed, and instead of sacrificing people, he chose to spare them and sacrifice himself by dancing so they could be saved.
On top of that, when Oden decided to confront Orochi in the castle, he was completely alone. He wasn’t even remotely prepared to face Kaidou at that moment, so agreeing to a peaceful approach was the better option.

He wasn’t losing much by doing so. People were being saved while he danced, and even though Wano changed visually, the samurai were still there, ready to be used against Kaidou at any time. The problem is that Kaidou made his move first by killing Hyogoro’s family, who was one of Oden’s strongest allies.

After that, Oden decided to go to war against Kaidou, but Orochi had already anticipated this and had a spy among the Red Scabbards, something completely outside Oden’s control. Who could imagine that among his most loyal retainers, one of them would betray him?

His plan was good: kill Kaidou while he was drunk and asleep on the island, without causing the deaths of thousands of innocent people.

At no point was he foolish.

Blaming the entire clan and saying all should be killed because of one man’s action is what caused the whole Wano arc.

Oda thinking that using the slogan that was used as a slogan for the attempted genocide of a clan and thinking it’s good writing is pretty indicative of why people say oda fell off in Wano.

Tbh, orochi did a good job punishing it's citizen while he ruled. Do any of them.even know Tama is a kurozumi either?

No

IF Loki gets Domi reversed, it's over for the condom pirates. Condom and zoro cannot solo gunkimu, sommers, killingham, the giants captain and Loki on top.
U r really overestimating dogknighs too much
One attack or few from zolo and luffy honna send them back to marijoa , not big deal.
They seems op right now cuz the rest of the crew are weaklings.

The real deal is domireversed loki and his domi reversed army.

It should happen

When he was twerking on the street for 5 years instead of asking for help. :suresure:
Wano was fully capable at that time of overthrowing Kaidou’s rule and removing Orochi from the position of Shogun. Kaidou himself admitted he had no idea what would happen if Oden chose to unite with Hyogoro and all the samurai of the country. It would have been a tough battle, but completely possible. That’s why asking for outside help wasn’t necessary, and this alone already breaks your first argument. And Oden’s choice to dance so the hostages could be saved, even while he became a laughingstock in Wano and destroyed his own reputation, is the kind of act only a true hero commits.

On top of that, the idea that Wano needs external forces to deal with its enemies is something both Oden and his son reject outright. Momonosuke made that very clear in front of Green Bull as he shouted multiple times for Yamato not to interfere. They need to be able to defend themselves, because Luffy won’t always be there.

Their pride in this context isn’t a flaw at all.
And to reinforce this, Hyogoro himself wondered what could have happened if, back then, he had joined forces with Oden against Kaidou. His reflection shows that, yes, they truly had a real chance of winning.

He had no reason to even believe the initial promise would be fulfilled, and no, he didn't save anyone, he just traded all the people in Wano for a few hostages.

Dancing for five years, becoming a joke to the very people he was trying to protect, and still saving lives in silence while being mocked, is one of the most heroic acts in this entire manga. He endured everything without saying a word. No matter how much people twist the situation, no one will convince me that this makes him foolish or idiotic. Much less a clown. He did what no one else would have the courage to do.
