I think domi reversi is like a weaker version of the mark cuz Imu has to kind of make you submit, while abyss it's like you're leaving your doors open and given it took Garp's and Roger's full blown final moves level of attack to break Xebec's " curse " i don't think simply separating the mark from someone's body is enough to get rid of it
