If you think about what Chopper actually did during Punk Hazard, it is surprising not that much.

Although he discovered the drug that was making the Children addicted, it was Law that took the poison out of them.

Although he wanted to save Mocha after she eat all the candy to protect the others, it was Sanji who lead the Marines and saved Mocha and the other Kids.

Even saving the people who were "frozen" by the gas weren't helped by Chopper. For how much Chopper was front and center during the Arc, he didn't really do much.

Although he was very respectful to women pre timeskip and didn't even want to kick Kalifa, as soon as he possessed Nami's body, he stripped Nami's clothes much to Nami's anger.

Even saving the damsel Marine Tashigi didn't do much. It was Zoro who helped her against Monet and not Sanji.

Heck Oda could of do a lot more with Chopper in Eggland too. Such as showing his rumble balls to vegepunk and how it can enhance Devil fruits.
Its a shame Oda off paneled Chopper asking for Ceasar for help when he should of really asked Vegepunk to look into it.
