The narrator flipping this moment after God Valley and highlighting Big Mom, Kaido, and Whitebeard as the pinnacle of pirates absolutely retcons this era being “Shiki’s” lol, this also means he wasn’t even the missing fourth Yonko everyone thought about, it was Roger lol

When did Oda highlight anyones strength beyond Imcel,Rocks and Garp the entire FB? The Rocks pirates were irrelevant, they didn´t peak yet. A generic narrator statement doesn´t mean Shiki wasn´t also fighting Roger and Sengoku, he could have just lacked impressive subordinates or territory, and I doubt the narrator means those 4 became emperors right after GV, since Kaido didn´t even meet king until 34 years ago

Tbh I don't think anybody predicted Kid to be treated like this either. I expected Kid & Shanks to be fighting off-screen for a moment before getting clapped so it could have appeared as a mid diff.

You always have to give the arc before the current one credit when it comes to sales figures. Egghead was a step in the right direction, and it's what the anime was covering this year too.
