Is it cope to say Oda has probably changed his idea of Laws PL in the story a couple of times? The way he was talking in PH about the new generation, and taking out Yonkos, it doesn´t seem like he was supposed to end up jobbing to Doffy and Blackbeard, because he was a man with the plan type of character,not an impulsive brat. Law taking out Vergo was probably Oda´s idea of making it clear Law wasn´t Luffy´s subordinate and can take out major villains as well, but obviously by the end of Wano, the idea that Luffy and Law were partners in an equal alliance is just a meme. Technically Vergo was right, Law was really just talking big, and he lost in his first actual 1v1 with Teach(yeah Teach had his crew jump in a couple times, but you know what I mean). This kind of hurts Vergos image, but it clearly wasnt his intention when he made PH...

Yea Law was getting too popular for Oda's liking. His PH run threatened Luffy and so Oda purposefully dialed it back on Dressrosa. He doesn't want anyone challenging Luffy's position at the top from the current generation.

It's crazy because he's doing the opposite for Roger.

Kizaru’s and Sentomaru’s brief fight on Egghead was actually really well written, you could tell just by looking at their faces the type of bond they had. That makes it even weirder just how poorly written Vegatard’s and Kizaru’s “best friendship” was. Would it really have been so hard to cut like half a chapter from Kuma’s overly long flashback and give us something to work with for Vegatard and Kizaru, beyond the few sparse panels we got?

I'm 100% sure Oda did it this way to not make too obvious stuff like Kizaru feeding Luffy or staying down on purpose, if Oda spent some time on Kizaru/Vegapunk it would have given all of this away.

This is a major post-timeskip issue btw; Oda cares more twists and leading the readers on than actual good writing.

You can see it in this very chapter with Loki and Ida, I like Loki but couldn't Oda have spend some pages on developping Loki/Ida bond? Last time they interacted he called her a gold digger but I'm 100% sure Oda wanted to surprise the reader by showing that Loki was a tsundere that actually liked Ida and is willing to burn a village for her
