It´s pretty annoying that power level debates about fan favorite villains like Doffy, Enel, Kata etc is now just about how strong people think they would be if they were a post TS character, as opposed to how strong they were actually in the story. Vergo easily broke the leg of someone who could destroy pacifistas with his kick. In what universe can Enel tank that?

If you said Cracker or Jack that's one thing. Enel could stay back and just fire off ranged attacks. Vergo is too well rounded with soru and geppou. He was able to outpace a fucking shambles which is instantaneous, Enel is getting blitzed by a soru and oneshotted.

Kata tbh is just Enel but less enjoyable, from their skill set (observation haki focused on precog, trident weapon, speed).

Lucci, Croco, Moria returned. None of them made to Top tier league.

I'm 100% sure Oda did it this way to not make too obvious stuff like Kizaru feeding Luffy or staying down on purpose, if Oda spent some time on Kizaru/Vegapunk it would have given all of this away.

This is a major post-timeskip issue btw; Oda cares more twists and leading the readers on than actual good writing.

You can see it in this very chapter with Loki and Ida, I like Loki but couldn't Oda have spend some pages on developping Loki/Ida bond? Last time they interacted he called her a gold digger but I'm 100% sure Oda wanted to surprise the reader by showing that Loki was a tsundere that actually liked Ida and is willing to burn a village for her

Tbh I think it’s more likely that Oda just couldn’t really think of a compelling backstory for Kizaru and Vegapunk.

I don’t really think that Oda cared that much about making Kizaru feeding Luffy into this grand twist. I mean it was only revealed in an SBS question, which only a small fraction of the readers actually pay attention to

Ace, Crocodile and Smoker didn't show any CoA, while Marguerite did. No one in their right mind would say Marguerite > those guys, by any standard pre or post TS.

The shiny toys in question being major powerups fundamental for how characters fight in OP? Sorry, but Enel not having armament Haki means he stands no chance against Vergo. Maybe users of weaker Hakis, I guess?

but bloodlusted? Enel can just teleport away and fry his ass. The man's range is straight-up insane.
Enel is a monster, the bounty Oda gave him in a SBS was only surpassed several dozens of volumes later in Dressrosa (so after the timeskip) for a reason. Right now he'd 100% be worth between 1.5B-2B

They became major powerups when equipped by super tough people.

Luffy getting CoA is not the same as Marguerite getting it. Luffy getting ACoC is the not the same as Yamato geting it.
