Speculations Strawhats VS BlackBeards - Final Matchups

Hi.

Looking at the current stage of the story and the thematics of each characters, I wanted to give a last go at a Strawhat / Blackbeard matchup. This was probably done before but I wanted to put my own spin on it. (I consider Aokiji out. We have 10 strawhats so I will only consider the 10 first BB crewmates).

Note that a good matchup must be a mirroring the character in one form or another. And usually the counter must be corrupted or far stronger. Here I used elements present in all the characterization of characters to choose (history, inspirations, names, fighting abilities etc.) and I made sure they mirrored very precisely a fundamental core of the strawhat in question.

- Usopp VS Van Augur : Sniper VS Sniper / Skill VS Skill - Seems easy enough

- Nami VS Catarina Devon : Cat VS Fox/Dog / Witch VS Woman huntress - Seems like there could be place for a cunning fight here.

- Chopper VS Doc Q. : Doctor VS Doctor. I believe there is a strength in Doc Q that we have yet to understand. Logical matchup.

- Brook VS Vasco Shot : Joy-Sadness VS Corrupted Joy-Sadness / Party Music VS Alcohool / Fire VS Ice - Interesting one in terms of thematics. There is a lot of potential for fun interactions.

- Robin VS Avalo Pizzaro : Protection of History VS Destruction of History - Avalo was a despotic King on top of being a representation of a conquistador fraternity who tried to conquer the Inca Empire. Something Robin would despise.

- Franky VS Jesus Burgess : Pride VS Corrupted pride - This one should be a fun Catch match.

- Jinbe VS Sanjuan Wolf : Torpedo VS Warship - I had doubts with this one, but then I remember Wolf talking about fish bitting him in the sea. Then I looked at his favorite dish: Sea King. This should be a sea battle.

- Sanji VS Laffitte : Fallen angel VS Corrupt angel / Kind demon VS Sadistic demon - This one should be interesting, in term of thematics and visual, everything checks out. This could be a very fun air/air battle.

- Zoro VS Shiryu : Honor VS Dishonor - I hesitated to create a duo matchup with Sanji and Zoro for this one but a big sword fight should happen either before or after Mihawk's defeat. (if Shiryu kills Mihawk, this battle could become very interesting, but this will be for another thread)

- Luffy VS BlackBeard : Freedom VS Chaos - This one will be interesting in term of values (chaos would be the corrupted version of freedom here) and in term of power, Luffy should come back to basics here if BB manage to absorb his power.


Now, it's possible that the arrival of a new Nakama completely shatters this prediction but I feel like everything fits nicely.


Finally, also note that what could be fights, could also be cooperative matchups. If Imu debarks on LaughTale, a lot of people will have to fight together before fighting eachothers.

the common wisdom makes no sense. i have pointed that out many times. just rewatch wano. when chopper was creating an antidote against the ice oni virus, he couldn't fight. someone else kept queen busy. in the end someone else also defeated queen. the idea that chopper somehow keeps up with the flying pegasus, block's doc q's scyth slashes, while creating new antidotes (or even the panacea), all at the same time, and also defeats the guy, makes no sense

Oda didn't introduce an evil doctor as a BBP for Chopper to not fight him directly and prevail through Hilluluk's ideology.

I look at the Mugis vs Kuros match-ups through counters.
Whatever the Mugis offer, the Kuros offer a counter to it.

For example, Luffy is a DF merchant, the counter to that is anti-DF merchant - Blackbeard(due to Yami).
Zoro is a swordsman, the counter to that is anti-swordsman - Shiryu(uncuttable body due to Suke).
So, when it comes to Sanjino the heat-based fighter, the counter to that is cold - Kuzan(due to Hie).

Now, I dont know if it will be specifically Kuzan himself who fights Sanjino or Kuzan will be killed and someone else will eat his fruit to fight Sanjino but I am convinced that Sanji's heat will face against the cold, as it is a direct counter, fitting the theme in all other fights.

I also think that Vivi will soon re-join them because she asked when she comes back if they would consider her one of them and she will likely become a decent fighter due to a broken DF which I think will be Kuma's DF, likely the one that Lily, her ancestor also had.

I can see it happening u said, but I dont ever think that kuzan will fight lanji not cuz lanji will not be as powerful as admiral but oda with SHs he leans to make the opponents are usually on contract to SHs personalities , so kuzan doesn't seem to be fitting to sanji character wise.
Even queen like women but he is different than sanji .

And thinking about her situation now she is wanted so returning to albasta is not possible. And continuing tagging with morgans seems mot intersting.
So yeah her joining make sense more than any candidate since her enemy is the final villain

I always thought a work that center around df powers and the masin cast never got thier hands on a df on screen is really disappointing from.loda

So i will be awesome if they found df and they gave it to vivi .
