probably something related to their contract/bonds, as of now the 1st we've seen in the series. Maybe Asa is next with Yoru if DenjiPochita does not separate both from one another?

I don't see AsaYoru merge being as good as DenjiPochita character-wise. Denji kinda has the same vibe as Pochita, Asa & Yoru are polar opposites at times.

this might be interesting if Asa finally takes back control of her body and instead turns Yoru into her own weapon (when Part 2 has been usually Yoru turning devils into weapons like Falling)

Come to think of it it seems like both of them can choose to keep an "outer shell" of an unconscious person if that makes sense
Like how Denji's body is still his body for a moment when Pochita takes over and is wrapping the intestine scarf around his neck, imagine that but Pochita doesn't turn into his full Chainsaw Devil form and just keeps Denji's body the way it is while having mental control over it
I think Denji did the opposite of that, leaving the shell of Pochita's body and using it to his advantage when he took over after Yoru KOed Pochita.
Not sure if this all makes sense as it's a bit hard to explain, and the form having two arms instead of four makes what I'm saying a little unlikely, but right now I can't think of any other reasons as to how they merged into a form like this.
