He lost control the literal first 2 arcs after the timeskip more than he ever had before, when apparently the excuse for him not learning anything for those 2 years was exclusively to control exactly this. It's actually hilarious when you stop and think about it, comedy gold. His training did absolutely nothing for him.

110% agree that Obito & Madara were effectively filling the same role and Madara repeated everything Obito did, just more successfully, post chap. #600.

The issue here is Obito is a couple years younger than Nagato and Konan, far far more sheltered than those two. Teen Obito manipulating Nagato hurt Nagato's standing for me

Having Sasuke villain and enemy being linked to Kakashi is making sense. Kakashi always had a special link with Sasuke. Kakashi narrative making him relevant in the final fight isn’t a bad thing
