Would be very Oda like
'Luffy won't defeat Kaido because his punch is so strong'
Proceeds to give him super powers that make his punch strong
It might be best he uses this confusing incoherent power system in a simple way in order to not overcomplicate the story for both the readers as well as himself
Oda said "just because" his punch is so strong, implying there needs to be other reasons.

In fact, he literally told us Luffy would beat him with a strong punch.

Always a possiblity lol but I hope not :josad:
And tbf although Luffy ultimately overcame Kaido with a stronger punch :josad:. He did learn a lot Haki wise. For instance without improving his haki to the level he did together with Nika hax, he probably won't have been able to withstand Kaido's flame bagua. Know I'm waffling lol but I really hope it isn't just "win with more ACoC" :pepemy:

Maybe its "win with special more advanced super rare adCoC"

Oda clearly showed that time had elapsed between when Gaban dropped into the underworld and the warning he gave Luffy so there was most likely a conversation there. We can tell also from Loki's conversation with Gaban that he was told something.
Not sure why you're so against Gaban having thought them something :risisweat:. Regardless of what it actually was, there is clear evidence that there was a conversation had. Personally I hope it isn't as simple as you're making out to be. Could very well be that that using a large amount of CoC is one way to go about it but hope it isn't just that.
Because we got new context in GV, you think Rocks whiffed up something on the fly against the HKs? Mind you that it was the first time that he‘s seen an immortal as he was surprised. It’s obvious that he just used acoc to damage them. Roger and Garp said that they were going all-out with their haki, ad verbatim. There’s no secret way of using it, it’s just regural aCoC all this time lol. Gaban specifically called out Zoro btw since he doesn’t even know that he has it.

Tbf recently I've been following the chapters via spoilers and only ever read them way after when I get my hands on the actual volume so missed this context. That said, I mean that seems to be one way that those two thought of on the fly but it's clearly a double edged sword as they point out here. For some reason I'm certain Zoro will be able to use it that way as there is been emphasis on the volume he has but I doubt Luffy does but well this is Oda we are talking about so I will not at all be surprised if overwhelming with mass is the answer lol

You become Holy Knights with deep sea mark and one of 13

Gorosei lie about Shallow pact
There must be something beyond Abyss lvl
:noo:
Some things that possibly debunks this are:
- deep sea contract gives you a amp in strength and immortality which is bascially what we've seen all the holy knights use till now
- holy knights don't seem to be capable of telepathy like the Gorosei and communicate via den den mushi iirc
