It could also Probably means that Sommers was one of the Candidates of becoming either Gorosei, or Supreme Commander of Holy Knight or even the "Special" / "Elite" of the Holy Knight kinda like Sternritter.
I know Its Sommers, since he always got cooked but that could also be a possibility since we only see the last three remaining or the Top 3 Holy Knight at GV which is Gargling, Sommers and Maffey.

You hype Garling because of his association to Shanks and his presence in the doublespread
Yet you think Shamrock is the weakest of the Figarland despite the fact that he's the actual Shanks clone, was present on the doublespread too and has yet to get a L

Killingham AOE is insane and can bully a entire nation by himself

but I feel like Oda put Sommers in the front row compared to Killingham

Either during Elbaf : the speaker of the group, the one who fought Gaban, who took down Saul etc

and now during the flashback : the one who attacked Shakky, who was attacked by Ray, who became an HK etc

i feel like given his focus and actions he is above Killingham

It‘s actually ironic that we keep saying Dragon does nothing all series, meanwhile he‘s the one who set Shanks on the path he’s on today and everything he‘s achieved is due to him, from freeing the slaves to giving Luffy his DF and all the other things. Had Garling not stabbed his wife none of that would have ever happened.
