it doesn't matter if oda is their cashcow or not. they should still at least do some actualy editing in the story

Also, you're missing the point of this all. This is a dragon ball editor saying this. DB was the biggest shit and still continues to be huge even after so many fucking years. Even with all that, during it's serialization, Toriyama had actual editors giving their input and doing editing. For good or bad, the editors still had some control over the story and weren't just yes men working for an egotistical author.

So this current situation is pretty much on Oda.

1. Torishima is a fucking asshole who hates anything post-Dragonball lol.
2. Torishima only edited the first half of Dragonball, to which is the point where people say the manga started to declining in quality after Frieza.

Dragonball is not some immaculately edited, perfect story. Its chock full of holes and errors that even Toriyama has acknowledged lmao
